Adirondacks

Camping was amazing!!! the Adirondacks are truly an amazing place. attended the opening bonfire the first night there, which was interesting... i guess they tell new campers about the activities there are by performing little skits.. (we were camping at my bro's boyscout camp for a week. he's one of the staff there.) then the next morning went fishing at around 6:30-10:00 with rea, then hiked along the trails (also with rea) found an XL coat with a little change and a flashlight in the pockets. hopefully the coat will sell for a bunch. also caught what must have been the worlds smallest frog, had a picnic lunch under a "POSTED" sign, and found a creepy cottage with a double bladed axe leaning against the door, and a "Notis" sign on the door saying something about either trespassers will be accused of murder, or will be murdered. we didn't stick around to find out. then the next day we spent watching jon teach his classes, or "merit badges", and then ate, fished, swam, and had a fire, the next day we hung out at camp for the morning, then hiked Graves mountain with everybody in the afternoon (EPIC!!!), got caught in the rain on the way back (it poured all night, but cleared up the next morning). the next morning me and rea climbed to Low's ridge, which was also epic, but it had ruin like things at the bottom which made it even more epic. then that afternoon jon and rea took a walk alone, and because they're dating (and are quite obvious about it) the scout leaders got upset that they were alone for so long, so rea had to go home early. (but she didn't miss much). on friday we went to the wedding rehearsal for a friends wedding they were photographing the next day, and on saturday (during the wedding) we kayaked on a lake, climbed "Bear mountain", which was kind of a lame mountain, bushwhacked our way back, then had some fun purposefully flipping the kayak. then it was a long ride back home after a week of lakes and mountains.

Self-relient, but still somehow clenched in an iron fist.

Parents are gone for a couple of days celebrating their anniversary at the inn they stayed at for their honeymoon. and as much as i love being alone for a couple days, it turns out that they won't let me stay the night by myself..... even though they've left me alone until 2 am many times before.... i guess them coming in while i'm asleep makes me safer...? so i'm spending the night at a friends house, which will be kinda nice cause i haven't seen him in a while, but i still would've liked to stay at home by myself. i enjoy the freedom. i mean, come on. i'm a self-reliant teen, i can handle one night. stop treating me like some non-reasoning accident machine! i have common sense, i don't need my parents to be somewhere in the vicinity to know not to pour gas on the stove.... it's really not that complicated. and what harm could i possibly do at night?? i'm asleep!!! i'd do much more damage during the day, but that's fine? and lets say we get robbed (the one night they're not here. what a stroke of luck) as you can see in my previous blog, i can take care of myself. whatever.. next time, i guess.

stop. tool time.

lots of projects lined up for this summer, among which are scraping the old paint from the window frames off and repainting them, and re-shingling parts of the roof. ought to be an interesting summer. lol. at least i get payed though, and with all the roofing, i should get a nice tan.

do not mess with me, i am armed and dangerous.

at the age of 13, i am the proud owner of a rapier, 3 katanas, a hunting knife and a serrated pocket knife. =) and i can proudly say i can correctly use all of them. look out world! lol

Always carry a knife...

so i was hanging with a friend of mine last night, and we were walking around the neighborhood... lesson learned. stick to main street.... some puerto rican morons who were obviously quite high started hurling insults at us, but we simply flipped them off and kept walking. a few blocks later some jack-ass comes up behind us on a little pink scooter, and starts yelling at me for "fucking with his cousins".. frankly, i would've loved nothing more than to slit his gullet, but i was able to keep it to a few sarcastic remarks and my death stare. he left us alone after that, but i'm still rather glad i carry a knife. i don't use it for combat, but apparently it may come in use for that too sometime.... although i'll admit, it was rather humorous. having some 5'4" puerto rican riding a pink scooter shouting god knows what at you is quite amusing....

4th of july

day started with church in the morning. i hate getting up so early, but the sermon was quite good. then spent the early afternoon at East Park watching the 4th of july parade. probably the lamest parade this town has all year... but still fun. now it's back home for a picnic dinner with some friends. mmm... hotdogs, hamburgers, corn on-the-cob, jello.... i love summer...

if you could just take that knife out of my back when you leave, i'm sure you'll need it again..

classic. just classic. you know a guy for 8 years, you become best friends, then get set aside like a used tool when the first ditzy, bimbo chick who needs someone to hold her purse comes along....... typical. i never would have thought it from him, but even he's fallen to the clutches of the mad tyrant: woman. i have only one bachelor friend left.. everyone else grew up way to fast....
